Wire Mesh Partitions
Wire mesh partitions manufactured and installed by Newark Wire Works are unsurpassed in rigidity and quality. They offer a large percentage of open area for clear ventilation, light diffusion, sprinkler coverage and visibility. There’s an unobstructed view of the interior of the enclosure at all times while still providing security to the contents of the entire enclosure.
Hinged wire mesh doors are available with mortise cylinder locks, hasps for padlocking, electric strikes or electro-magnetic locks (mag-locks) for card access, panic bars and combination locks.
Wire mesh sliding gates (wire mesh sliding doors) are available with mortise cylinder locks, hasps for padlocking and electro-magnetic locks (mag-locks) for card access.
Our woven wire mesh partitions can also be provided with wire mesh ceilings.
Wire mesh ceilings can also be provided above existing masonry or gypsum board walls for added security within your facility.
Newark Wire Works wire mesh partitions are available in different alloys. We manufacture stainless steel wire partitions, aluminum wire partitions as well as our carbon steel wire partitions. The wire mesh panels, doors, gates and ceilings are finished with an alkyd base enamel paint, polyester powder coat or hot dip galvanized to your specification.
NEWARK WIRE WORKS TYPE 120 WIRE MESH PARTITION SPECIFICATION
MESH : 10 ga. (.135 dia.) triple crimped steel wire, woven into 1 ½” diamond mesh.
VERTICAL FRAME MEMBERS : 1 ¼” x 5/8” x 13 ga. .080 HRPO steel “C” channel section.
HORIZONTAL FRAME MEMBERS : 1” x ½” x 11ga. HRPO steel channels, mortise and tenoned to side frames.
HORIZONTAL STIFFENERS : Two ¾”x 3/8” x 11ga. HRPO steel channels riveted toe to toe through mesh.
All wires to be passed through and securely clinched to perimeter frame members. All corners to be mortised and tenoned.
VERTICAL STIFFENERS : ( High Partitions ) HRS flat bar post between each panel

TOP CAPPING BAR : Continuous 2 ¼” x 1” pre – galvanized steel rolled steel channel with
¼” “U” bolts 2’- 4” on centers.
CORNER POSTS : 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” x 1/8” HRS steel tubes full height with bolt holes to match panels.
FLOOR SOCKETS : 2” high with set screw adjustment anchored to floor with 3/8” diameter sleeve anchors.
FASTENERS : All panels to be bolted together with ¼” diameter bolts minimum of 15” on center.
FIELD BRACING : Partition is to be braced to structure above, minimum of 15’- 0” on center.
HINGED DOOR FRAMES : 1 ¼” x 5/8” x 11ga. HRPO steel channel with a 1 ¼” x 11ga. steel flat bar capping on three sides and a 1 3/8” x 7/8” x 11ga. HRPO steel angle riveted to lock side. Each door to have 1 ½ pair of fast pin butt hinges riveted to both door and jamb channel.
SLIDING GATE FRAMES : 1 ½” x ¾” x 11ga. steel channel frames, with a 1 ½” x 11ga. steel flat bar capping on four sides. Gate to be equipped with one pair of four wheel roller hangers, box top track, and bottom guide channel.
Substantial mortise type cylinder lock operated by key outside and recessed knob on the inside, to be provided as manufactured by Marks Hardware, Model 3710 for hinged doors, and Model 3810 for sliding gates. Keying to be as required.
FINISH: Shop applied, electro-static spray enamel paint.
Standard colors: Gray, Black, and Bronze tone.
